ABOUT SHANNON
Shannon was born in Danbury, CT and grew up in New Milford, CT with her parents and her younger brother. She graduated from the Univeristy of Connecticut in Storrs, CT with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. She later attended Western Connecticut State University where she earned her teaching certificate in Elementary Education. She is now a teacher at St. Peter School in Danbury, CT and is currently working towards her Masters in Education with an emphasis on reading.
ABOUT BRIAN
Brian was born in Danbury, CT and grew up in Sherman, CT. He also went to New Milford High School and graduated from the Univeristy of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. He now works for North Sails in Milford, CT. His passion is sailing on Long Island Sound.
HOW WE MET
Although we went to the same high school and college, it was not until after graduating that we met through mutual friends.
WHEN WE GOT ENGAGED

HOW IT HAPPENED
I received an email from Brian telling me to pack some clothes for my birthday weekend. I had no idea where we were going! We took a train into New York City where Brian led me to a hotel right in Times Square. There Brian gave me two tickets to see Les Miserables on Broadway that same night. Before the play, we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. After the meal Brian got up to ask the waitress to take a picture of us. When he came back he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
